2025: The Year I Quietly Built Everything That Matters

Adeniyi Adesina

2025 was not a loud year for me.

If you looked at my LinkedIn activity, you might have thought I disappeared. Fewer posts. Less visibility. More silence than usual. But what didn’t show online was that 2025 became one of the most defining years of my growth; personally, professionally, and intellectually.

It was a year of real development. Not theory, Not hype, but Real-life experience.

I spent most of the year learning sometimes intentionally, sometimes by necessity. I discovered new sides of myself through hands-on work, restructured my thinking through constant learning and networking, and transformed my skills through deep, focused knowledge. On top of that, I began an adventure into a Master’s degree in Information Technology; a journey that stretched my thinking and demanded discipline. That alone explains why I wasn’t as active as a content creator. But I was always present; reading, observing, learning what was trending, and quietly preparing.

One of my proudest achievements in 2025 was working on Elerra.

Elerra Google Play

I designed the UI and UX of the product from ideation all the way to publishing on the Google Play Store with the App Store launch coming soon. Watching an idea move from conversations and sketches into a real product used by real people is an experience that never gets old.

But my role didn’t stop at design.

I found myself working beyond the traditional UI/UX scope, handling App Store Optimization, writing both the short and long app descriptions, preparing screenshots, and filling in app data information. There were setbacks too. Google queried the app data submission details at first. We reviewed, corrected, resubmitted and eventually, it was approved. That moment taught me something important; Great product design doesn’t end at the screen. It involves understanding distribution, visibility, collaboration, and persistence.

Throughout the year, I worked with brilliant minds; founders, stakeholders, and developers. The exposure was intense, sometimes challenging, but incredibly rewarding. It pushed me to think beyond interfaces and into systems, users, and business realities. Most importantly, it confirmed something deeply personal for me: UI/UX design is not just what I do, it’s where I belong.

Now it’s 2026.

And this year feels pregnant with possibilities: new ideas, personal innovations, opportunities, and real-life hacks, especially within UI/UX and product design. I’m stepping into this year with clarity, confidence, and a renewed desire to share.

To my mentors especially Beatriz Marques and Adil kuanyshbaK. Your impact will never go unappreciated. And to everyone who has followed, supported, or simply watched quietly; thank you. I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned, what I’m learning, and what I will learn in this space.

This time, not quietly.
